John has never found a door that he could not unlock, a safe that he has not been able to open, or a car door that could not be re-keyed. In fact, many other locksmiths called upon John for assistance with their more difficult problems. Moving from Sandpoint , Idaho, John and his family moved to Northern California and started from scratch the business he knew-locks, and named it John's Lock and Safe. For 16 years John's business prospered and grew. For a number of years he was the only locksmith in the county and had to travel quite a few miles each month to keep his customers from being "locked out." Businesses called upon him to maintain their safes and to open them when they "forgot" how to get in.

John called the Northern California Conference Trust and Proplerty Management Department and discovered that he could receive a guaranteed return of 7.8% from a Charitable Gift Annuity. This fixed payment was in addition to a large income tax deduction with a major portion as tax-free income.
John: I am delighted with my gift annuity. I receive a 7.8% return and saved in my income taxes. This plan has been great. Best of all, I no longer have to watch the markets go up and down. I now have peace of mind, knowing I will have a fixed income each month to depend on.
